Grand Drive
Comprised of brothers Danny (guitar/vocals) and Julian (keyboards) Wilson, Ed Balch (bass) and Paul Wigens (drums) Grand Drive were named after a long and meandering road near where they lived in south London. This gives a slight clue to their sound, they sing about open roads amongst other things, but not too much of one as they perform soulful country rock rather than anything that south London is famous for. Their songs are laidback and conjur up images of bright mornings, broken relationships and road trips and with echoes of Neil Young, Gram Parsons and Ryan Adams, Grand Drive have already shown that they can hold up against the best of them.
